We know lots of farmers and are proud to represent their quality, flavoursome olive oils under the Squeaky Gate Growers Co. brand.

We do this by following the Aussie olive harvest grower to grower, farm to farm, bringing you the pick of the crop  delivering consistency of flavour each season with the AOOA quality assurance.

FLAVOUR, THE WAY IT SHOULD BE

The best regions for growing olives are the southern states across Australia with Mediterranean style climates; characteristed by long dry summers and short cold winters.

Our Extra Virgin Olives Oils (EVOO for short) are carefully blended for our specific flavour profile from EVOOs produced in South West WA, SA, VIC and NSW. This blending ensures that we have a consistent flavour for each of our EVOO variants. Fresh and flavoursome.

LOCAL SOURCING, THE WAY IT SHOULD BE

1. AUSSIE GROWERS

  • Olives are harvested and first cold pressed by Australian growers across the country.

  • Oil samples are sent to an external laboratory and chemically analysed to validate oils are of EVOO quality in accordance with the standards of the International Olive Council (IOC).

  • Only EVOO quality oils then continue on in the process

2. OIL SELECTION

  • Expert panel tastes ALL EVOO quality samples submitted by Aussie Growers, assessing flavour.

  • Approved oils are then allocated into Squeaky Gate flavour profiles, The Mild One, The All Rounder, The Strong One.

3. PRODUCTION

  • Aussie growers transport the Squeaky Gate selected oils to Australian owned bottling facilities around the country where oils are bottled.

  • Oils are tested again against IOC EVOO guidelines.

4. LOTS MORE TESTING

  • Bottled product shipped to the home of Squeaky Gate, Conga Foods and stored in temperature controlled warehouses across Australia.

  • Every batch of Squeaky Gate received is then sent to an independent laboratory and again tested against IOC quality standards.

  • Meanwhile the Squeaky Gate team also personally taste test every batch to ensure it meets our strict sensory requirements.

6. DELIVERING THE PRODUCT TO YOU

  • Approved, quality certified product is shipped to retailers across the country. Giving Aussies easy access to great quality oil.

QUALITY ASSURANCE, THE WAY IT SHOULD BE

Knowing that you are getting quality product can be confusing. We are proud to be certified with the Australian Olive Oil Association (AOOA) Quality Seal; Australia’s first Certified Quality Seal Program.

Established to recognise and promote olive oils that measure up to the global industry standards of excellence, the AOOA is an Australian industry body that follows the International Olive Council’s (IOC) guidelines for testing product for EVOO quality.

Only products that meet the quality testing requirements for EVOO, as set out by the IOC, are eligible to claim AOOA Quality certification.

Furthermore, this quality assurance continues to be routinely and frequently re-tested to ensure ongoing, quality compliance.

The AOOA certification gives you the reassurance that you are getting 100% EVOO product.
